Police are still combing through evidence at the scene in Midrand where a suspect was arrested for child pornography related charges, January 17, 2025.
A 35-year-old suspect has been arrested for possessing, accessing, downloading and distributing child pornography.
The suspect was arrested in Midrand, north of Johannesburg, this morning.
Police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk says a SAPS Takedown operation is underway in Midrand.
“One suspect has been arrested. The suspect was found in possession of thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography on the scene”.
