Police found 42 bags of compressed dagga weighing 851,85 Kg with an estimated street value of R8 million.
A blitz by the police in Limpopo has intercepted a bakkie transporting 42 bags of compressed dagga, with a street value of R8 million. The bakkie that was pulling a trailer was intercepted at the R36 Weigh-bridge in Mooketsi.
A 27-year-old man has been taken into custody. SAPS Limpopo spokesperson, Malesela Ledwaba says the suspect is expected to appear before Tzaneen Magistrate Court next week.
“The backie was stopped, searched and found transporting 42 bags of compressed dagga with an estimated street value of R8 million, the suspect failed to account for the origin of the dagga and was immediately arrested, the Toyota Hilux backie and trailer used in the commission of crime were all seized during the arrest.”
