Putco Bus Company says the number of its buses that have been torched in Mpumalanga overnight has risen to 50.
The company says an unknown group of people ambushed security personnel at the Moloto depot and then set buses on fire.
Two Putco workers were injured.
Other depots also reported that their buses were torched.
