Disaster management teams are on high alert. Motorists have been warned to drive with extreme caution.

“We are facing a huge challenge in terms of fatalities and accidents in the province of KwaZulu-Natal because we are experiencing heavy rainfall and misty conditions. It is a challenge, and we would like to urge the drivers to be extra careful when driving in these inclement weather conditions,” says KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate (RTI) spokesperson Sindi Msimang.
