Makhelwane Festival in Soweto proves to be a hit

People who are in attended the Makhelwane Festival in Orlando West, in Soweto, experienced the finest street food, while also getting an opportunity to support locally owned businesses.

The three-day festival is a fun celebration that brings people in different parts of Soweto together.

Today marked a decade since the inception of this festival.

These two attendees expressed their happiness.

“I’m here for the music mainly for today. Because the lineup is quite interesting, as well as what is on offer. For me, I always like to come here and find out what people are up to, what are they selling.”

“Today I’m here for the festivities, I’m here for the food. Hopefully taste some of the good food. Mostly importantly, I’m here for the local products.”
