Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly dealing in dagga in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. Police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba says police have seized 130 bags of dagga worth R11 million.
The drugs were allegedly being transported from Eswatini for distribution in South Africa.
Ledwaba says the suspects are expected to appear in the Hoedspruit Magistrate’s Court today.
Ledwaba says, “This seizure has prevented a substantial quantity of illicit drugs from reaching communities and demonstrates the effectiveness of joint operations. Criminals must know that law enforcement remains determined to disrupt drug trafficking networks and protect our communities from the harmful effects of drugs.”
