Management of the South African National Parks (SANParks) says the bodies of two tourists have been discovered in the Pafuri section (Nxanatseni North Region) of the Kruger National Park.
It says a search was launched on Thursday evening after camp staff noticed that the tourists did not return.
The two bodies were discovered near a river on Friday by other tourists.
The vehicle that the deceased was travelling in is missing and their next-of-kin have been informed.

Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Minister Willie Aucamp described the incident as shocking and unprecedented, saying it is the first case of its kind reported in the history of the Kruger National Park.
“I have already been in discussion with the CEO of SANParks as well as the Chairperson and we will continue to provide any information that the SAPS might need. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.”
