Malatji says he’s a victim in TMPD ad hoc security services matter

Suspended Tshwane Metro Director for Asset Protection Services, Tshukudu Malatji, has told the Madlanga Commission that he believes he is a victim in the matter involving ad hoc security services at the city.

Malatji was cross-examined over his failure to halt the ad hoc security contracts, which resulted in an expenditure of R82 million over five months.

He told Commissioner Sandile Khumalo that some of his colleagues – including Sean Bolhuis and Revo Spies – would stop at nothing to get rid of him.

Malatji has concluded his testimony and will return to the Commission at a date yet to be announced for re-examination.
