SAPS confiscates an AK 47 assault rifle with ammo.
Three suspected extortionists have been arrested in Hout Bay in Cape Town after police seized an AK-47 assault rifle as well as other firearms and ammunition.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg says the trio faces charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

He says they will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
“During the searches of these premises, the members confiscated an AK-47 assault rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition, three 9mm pistols, a 38 Special revolver and an assortment of ammunition,” adds Twigg.
