Police say two people have been shot and killed at a taxi rank in Portlands, Mitchells Plain, on the Cape Flats.
Five people, including three children, were wounded in the incident.
Police Spokesperson, Wesley Twigg, says the motive for the shooting is being investigated.
No arrests have been made as yet.
Twigg says in a separate shooting, also in Mitchells Plain, one person was shot and killed.
