File: Chairperson and commissioners at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.
A new witness is expected to take the stand at the Madlanga Commission on Tuesday morning.
While the name of the new witness has not yet been revealed, it is expected that their testimony will relate to the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD).
Evidence relating to the TMPD has been introduced to the Commission through the testimonies of Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, a SAPS detective in the Organised Crime Unit and deputy police chief in the City of Tshwane, and Commissioner Revo Spies.
The Madlanga Commission has heard how Security Company Gubis85 Solutions scored R59 million from a R2.9-billion tender, which was alleged to be irregular.
Commissioner Spies confirmed this during his testimony.
The Tshwane Metro Police Department is among three traffic law enforcement agencies that are being investigated at the Madlanga commission.
The inquiry is looking into allegations of criminal infiltration in law enforcement agencies and accusations of political interference in these institutions.
Proceedings begin at 9:30 am.
