Powerlines seen overhead
Eskom has urged communities around the Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) to ensure that children are supervised and kept away from power lines after the airport and surrounding industrial areas experienced a power outage early on Friday morning.

It was caused by kites that had flown into Eskom’s high-voltage power lines.
Eskom says their technicians were dispatched immediately.
The power supplier says any interference that leads to the damage of critical infrastructure is a serious offence and that perpetrators will be held legally responsible for the damage.
