Sergeant Fannie Nkosi testifying before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Security strategist Andy Mashaila says the police search and seizure operation at the Pretoria home of a prominent police officer signals an active and escalating investigation.
It is believed that the property belongs to Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, who recently appeared before the Madlanga Commission.
Mashaila says the J51 operation focuses on verifying evidence, testing contradictions, and assessing testimony given at the Madlanga Commission.
Mashaila says the operation shows no one is above the law.
“Once there is that kind of a search and seizure or visit by the law enforcement agencies, it means there is an active investigation. What we picked up at the Madlanga Commission, the black card, the black credit card that belonged to Matlala … it would be one of the areas of interest in terms of the purchases, in terms of the receipts, and in terms of many other things that can inform the second and third layers of issues around it and its usage. We have listened to the contradictions at the Madlanga Commission. So, law enforcement would want to organise more information,”
