Blue Bulls edge Munster 34–31 in thrilling URC clash


The Blue Bulls survived a furious onslaught from the Irish side, Munster, to win their United Rugby Championship encounter in Pretoria by 34-points to 31.

Munster gave as good as it got, but in the end, it was outstanding individual efforts from Bulls players Embrose Papier and Cheswill Jooste that made the difference.

Papier’s brilliant solo try in the first half helped his team to a 14-7 lead at the break.

Munster kept on coming back, and Jooste had his own spectacular individual effort in the 2nd half to help keep his team in front.

Munster scored 2 tries in the closing stages of the match, but the Bulls managed to hold on for a much-needed victory, which kept their top 8 chances in place.
