Outside a home in Hyde Park, Johannesburg where a shooting of a gardener took place
Police divers have been brought in to assist in searching for the gun linked to Thursday’s shooting incident, which occurred at the residence of the son of the former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe.
A gardener was shot earlier Thursday in Hyde Park, north of Johannesburg, and is in critical condition in hospital.
The son of the late former President has since been arrested in connection with the shooting, along with another man.
The two men have been charged with attempted murder.
SABC Reporter Chriselda Lewis elaborates: “Police have now widened their investigation looking for this missing gun, which is alleged to have been used here at this crime scene with a gardener at the home of the son of Zimbabwe’s former president, Robert Mugabe, where the shooting took place. Police divers, we understand, are now being brought in. I do understand these divers, one of the divers who is in charge, is going to go into the premises. I understand that the pool is going to be searched.”
