Police say they are searching for a firearm allegedly used to shoot a gardener at the Hyde Park home of the son of a former Zimbabwean president, north of Johannesburg.
Two people, aged 28 and 33, including the son of the former statesman, have been taken in for questioning following the incident.
The 23-year-old victim has been taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
Gauteng Police Spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says cartridges have been discovered at the property.
“At the moment we don’t have the firearm, but our dog unit, like I indicated, we do have our dog unit inside. They are searching through, but we did manage to find a cartridge, and that cartridge will be taken in to form part of the investigation.”
