Proteas’ T20 Captain Aiden Markram in action
South Africa have completed the group stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka unbeaten.
The Proteas beat the United Arab Emirates by six wickets in New Delhi to top Group D.
The UAE, who were put into bat, were restricted to a paltry 122 for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Corbin Bosch was exemplary with the ball and took three for 12 in his four overs.
The Proteas scored the winning with 40 balls remaining and just four wickets down.
Aiden Markram’s men open their Super Eight campaign in Ahmedabad on Sunday when they take on co-hosts India, followed by a match against another in-form side, the West Indies, next Thursday.
