Water infrastructure tops agenda at ANC Gauteng lekgotla: Papo

African National Congress (ANC) Gauteng Coordinator, Hope Papo, says water infrastructure maintenance and replacement, with clear timeframes, will be at the top of the agenda at the party’s two-day lekgotla.

The ANC Gauteng Task Team is set to meet in Fourways from Sunday to discuss local government and coalition agreements, among other issues.

Papo says they are pleased that President Cyril Ramaphosa highlighted during the State of the Nation Address that issues such as water and electricity will be given national attention.

He also adds that in their discussion, the immediate intervention will be ensuring that residents receive water in their homes.
