Protestors are calling for water to be restored immediately as well as transparent communication regarding water supply in the city.
A concerned Parktown West resident Hermine Geldenhuys says, “Today in Parktown West, we are standing on day 22 and the impact of it is huge. You know, life goes on. The world is happening is around us but it’s like being stuck with a chain and a ball around our ankles. We are taking to the streets and we want to know when we will have water again. And that comes with two things immediately, communication and a solution.”
