murder investigation
Three children were hacked to death in the Lulwane area of eManguzi in northern KwaZulu-Natal. Police say the children, aged between seven, nine and 15-years-old were attacked with a bush knife while they were apparently alone in their home on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says the mother had gone out and returned home only to find her kids butchered to death.
Netshiunda says a suspect has been arrested in connection with the triple murder.
“Reports indicate that the mother of the children was out running errands for her small business and when she went home, she found her three children aged seven, nine and fifteen years old butchered to death. Police were summoned to the scene and investigations began. On Sunday morning, 1 February 2026, the suspect was arrested, and he will appear in the Emanguzi Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 2 February 2026.”
