The Eastern Cape Department of Education has confirmed that the third teacher who was rushed to Nelson Mandela Academic hospital in Mthatha on Thursday has also passed away.
This follows a shooting incident by a suspended deputy principal at Ntabankulu Primary School, before he turned the gun on himself.
One teacher and perpetrator were declared dead at the scene, while another teacher died at Ntabankulu Medical Centre.
The third teacher’s death has been confirmed this morning.
The deputy principal was out on bail following sexual assault charges.
