Lenasia Model Primary School
Parents have expressed frustration and anger over the closure of Lenasia Model Primary School on Friday morning.
According to them, they were only informed by the principal on Friday morning that the school would be closed today and again on Monday due to a strike by the scholar transport associations in the area.
The strike follows the impoundment of more than 60 scholar transport vehicles during a blitz operation led by Transport Minister Barbara Creecy on Thursday.

Disgruntled parent, Sthokoza Ngubane, says it is unacceptable for the school to be closed.
“I’m not happy at all. I had to stop working and come here. My child was supposed to write a spelling test today, now everything should stop because of this thing with the transport that are not in order.”
