CONTRALESA urges business help for learners’ tertiary fees

The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) has called on businesses to assist learners who have passed their matric but cannot afford tertiary institutions fees.

The traditional leaders’ organisation says, many learners especially in rural areas are eager to persue their studies at tertiary but have no funding.

CONTRALESA president, Chief Lameck Mokoena also congratulated the matric class of 2025.

“Contralesa congratulates the class of 2025 for doing so well in their final examinations. It is pleasing to note that 656 000 pupils passed. Contralesa is aware though that many of those students may not proceed to tertiary institutions because of their financial background in their families. Contralesa calls upon the business sector to try and assist this poor students. To those who did not do well, this is not the end of the world. There is a chance for you to go and do better next time. We call upon our parents not put pressure to those students who might not have done well.”
