Residents are urged to be cautious around low-lying areas
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an Orange Level 9 warning for rain resulting in widespread flooding for Sunday into Monday over the eastern areas of Mopani District Municipality of Limpopo and Bushbuckridge Local Municipality of Mpumalanga as well as Collins Chabane Local Municipality.
This comes after the province has already received a large amount of rain.
An Orange Level 6 warning is also in place for the escarpment of Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

The Mpumalanga Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has called on communities to remain vigilant, as heavy rains continue across the province.
Residents are urged to be cautious around low-lying areas, rivers and bridges, which may become dangerous due to rising water levels.
Motorists have also been advised not to cross flooded roads, while communities are advised against outdoor activities near water sources.
