Six teens arrested for stoning tourists’ car near Cape Town Airport


Tourists from Wales, in the United Kingdom, were attacked on the N2 highway en route to Cape Town International Airport  when their vehicle was stoned by six teenagers.

The police say according to reports, the tourists were en route to the airport.

Police spokesperson, FC Van Wyk, says the incident has been captured on CCTV and police were able to identify the six boys responsible for the stoning.

Van Wyk says the boys were arrested on Thursday in the Crossroads residential area. He says they were wearing the same clothes that they wore when the incident happened. He says the suspects will appear in court once charged.

He confirms that they were wearing the same clothes they had been wearing at the time of the incident. The suspects will appear in court once charged.
