KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is expected to hold a media briefing in Durban on Thursday afternoon.
It’s believed he will address issues being raised at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry. They pertain to Durban businessman James Stuart Scharnick‘s criminal record and firearm license.

On Wednesday, Scharnick laid fraud and defamation charges against the head of Crime Intelligence Dumisani Khumalo, at the Pretoria Central Police Station.
This followed Khumalo’s testimony in which he linked Scharnick to 34 criminal cases.
