The 66-year-old pastor, who allegedly raped a three-year-old girl at Botlokwa in Limpopo, has been denied bail by the Morebeng Magistrate Court in Botlokwa outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
Justice Mongalo, who works as a driver at a crèche owned by his wife, delivered the child home late on the day of the rape.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape.
Mongalo will remain in custody until the 3rd of December when he appears in court again.
The girl was taken to hospital after she complained that she was feeling pain on her private part.
Doctors confirmed that she was raped.
Meanwhile, members of Mongalo’s church and his family were in court to support him, while other residents opposing bail were also present.
