[FILE IMAGE]: Rescue teams at a drowning incident.
Three bodies have been retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion. However, the identification process is still ongoing. A fourth body was found in the area in the bushes.
They are three males and one female body. This as police are searching for three police officers who disappeared last Wednesday en route from Bloemfontein to their area of deployment in Limpopo.
The trio were last known to be at a garage near the Grasmere Toll Plaza on the N1.
Police’s Athlenda Mathe confirmed the search and rescue operations.
“The SAPS confirms that its investigation has brought it to the Hennops River in Centurion along the N1. We have three bodies so far whose identities are yet to be confirmed. We are searching for another body and for any other evidence that will assist us in concluding the case of the missing police officers,” says Mathe.
