The North West Health Department says it has embarked on a campaign to trace children who may have missed immunisation.

It says this is as part of the Africa Vaccination Week between the 24th and 30th of this month. The department’s spokesperson Tebogo Lekgethwane says the aim of the campaign is to prevent serious diseases.

“Health MEC Mr. Sello Lehari urges parents to pay close attention to the road to health cards, which details all the stages of immunisation. It also indicates the diseases such a polio, measles, mumps and others, which children must be immunised against.”
