Limpopo man arrested for drug dealing at Lebowakgomo taxi rank

A 31-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly dealing drugs at the Lebowakgomo taxi rank outside Polokwane in Limpopo. Police say the drugs found on him have an estimated street value of R4 000. 

According to provincial police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba, members of the Provincial Flying Squad noticed the suspect engaging in suspicious activity at the busy taxi rank yesterday. 

“Members of the Provincial Flying Squad were busy performing their daily duties when they spotted a male conducting suspicious transactions at the Lebowakgomo taxi rank. The suspect was closely monitored, ultimately searched and found in possession of drugs with a street value of R4 000,” says Ledwaba.

“He was then arrested for dealing with drugs.” 

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon.
