The fifth annual Southern Africa Oil and Gas (SAOGA) Conference is set to kick off on Monday at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town.

The event will focus on developments in the upstream petroleum industry across the Southern Africa region.

The conference will give investors and industry operators a clear understanding of regional policies that encourage investment, support sustainable resource development, and maximise local content.

Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Gwede Mantashe, is expected to deliver the keynote address.
