Coach Rassie Erasmus
Reigning World Cup champions, South Africa, will start with preparations for the 2025 season with an alignment camp in Cape Town next month.
Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has invited 56 players to the camp.
All of whom are based in South Africa.
With a host of players plying their trade overseas, Erasmus has cast his net as wide as possible to broaden his player-base ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The players will spend most of their time in the boardroom attending meetings during the three-day camp, while the overseas-based players will engage in similar conference call sessions.
The first group includes 18 players from the 2023 Rugby World Cup winning squad, including 38-year-old utility forward, Deon Fourie, who plays for the Stormers.
