Broken windshield after a car crash.
Thirty learners have been rushed to Gelukspan Hospital near Lichtenburg in North West with minor injuries after a collision involving their bus and a minibus taxi.
Both vehicles were carrying a total of 80 learners.
The Department of Community Safety says learners from the RA Kobue Secondary School were rushed to Mahikeng Provincial Hospital.
The department says 65 learners were in the bus and 15 in the taxi.
According to the department, a taxi ferrying learners and educators to the same school of Ra Kobue, overtook and abruptly stopped in front of the bus when the accident happened.
They say alternative transport has been arranged to transport learners.
Meanwhile, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the province have blamed this on unroadworthy buses, contrary to the statement of the department.
They are calling for intervention of Premier Lazarus Mokgosi on the scholar transport issues.
