He says they have 120 first-aiders, 64 nurses and 25 doctors that will be traveling in 65 ambulances along the route.

Bellairs says they have 9 medical motorbikes and one medical helicopter. He also says there is a field hospital at the finish line with 20 beds including 4 ICU beds.

Furthermore, cyclists participating in the race have been given free skin cancer screening ahead of today’s race.

Bellairs, says participants should be aware of the rise in the UV Index at around midday. He urged cyclists to wear sunscreen during the race.

The organisers will be providing cyclists with sunscreen along the route to ensure that they stay protected. Beverage stops will also be provided along the route to keep cyclists hydrated.
