Police have confirmed the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect in connection with the killing of two people in Westbury, Johannesburg, earlier this month.
They say they made the arrest at a high school in Diepkloof yesterday afternoon, following a tip-off.
A total of seven teenagers were shot in the incident.
Five of them were wounded.
Gauteng police spokesperson Brenda Muridili says, “Investigations are ongoing to track down the remaining suspects. Two of the five injured victims have been discharged from the hospital. The SAPS urges the public to assist in the investigation by providing any relevant information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects by calling the SAPS crime stop line at 08600 10111. Callers can remain anonymous.”
