13 teenagers injured after minibus-taxi overturns near Cato Ridge


Thirteen teenagers have been injured after a minibus taxi they were travelling in overturned on the N3 near Cato Ridge in KwaZulu-Natal.

The driver is reported to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn this morning.

Garrith Jamieson is the spokesperson of a private ambulance service whose paramedics attended to the injured.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos as they found that a single taxi fully loaded with teenagers had somehow lost control and overturned coming to rest on its side. A total of thirteen teenagers had sustained various injuries and once stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Pietermaritzburg Hospitals for the further care that they required.”
