Police in Volksrust, Mpumalanga, are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of the body of an 11-year-old girl who was previously reported missing.
Slindile Gule went missing on Sunday after she was sent by a neighbour to buy prepaid electricity at a filling station.
Her body was discovered on Wednesday with multiple injuries on her face and strangulation marks on her neck.
The provincial police spokesperson Jabu Ndubane says, “No arrests have been made so far. We urge anyone with information not to hesitate contacting us.”
