11-year-old Eastern Cape boy allegedly shot dead by 14-year-old


An eleven-year-old boy has been shot dead, allegedly by a 14-year-old, in Mqanduli in the Eastern Cape.

The gun is believed to belong to the older boy’s father.

Police spokesperson Welile Matyolo says officers found the younger boy already dead when they arrived at the scene of the shooting.

Matyolo says the father of the older boy confirmed leaving the loaded gun in the drawer of the headboard.

Police are currently searching for the older boy and investigating a murder case.
